Genjutsu is actually like Ninjutsu except that in Genjutsu you use illusionary and escaping techniques.

This is changed a lot in battlefront 2.

Genjutsu is the art of long range fighting. You will learn how to shoot an enemy from long range and move without being seen. This is possibly the hardest style other than Taijutsu. These are the things you will learn.
How to keep your enemy at long distance.
How to escape if you are caught at close range.
How to lure your enemy into traps.
